What is BOOT CAMP CHAMP for kids?
A 2-week outdoor fitness program with nutrition components covered each day.
What ages can attend?
Boys and girls ages 11-17, and 6-12. This year we will meet with all ages during the same time frame, however, there will be two trainers at the location to split the groups in to appropriate age groups and abilities to lead them through specific and age appropriate routines.
Is this just for athletes?
No! While we can make an athlete better, this program is designed for any fitness level. We will take you from where you are, to where you want to be. You will gain an increase in strength, speed, agility, flexibility and self-confidence! You will learn how to eat nutritiously for your health, for sport performance and for life.
What will each day consist of?
Each camp last for 2 hours
- 15 minutes: Drop off/check-in/walking to warm up
- 10 minutes: Dynamic, Group Warm-up and stretch
- 50 minutes: Cardiovascular exercise that will consist of obstacle courses, games, walk/jog/running, and plyometrics, as well as light weight training and tube resistance training.
- 10 minutes: Abs and stretching
- 30 minutes: Snack and nutrition talk
- 5 minutes: Pick up
What if I've never exercised before?
This program is for you! What better time and place to start than with BOOT CAMP CHAMP for kids. This is the time to learn the proper way to exercise and to be guided by Highly Qualified Personal Trainers. We make exercise fun and we want to show you it is possible to love fitness and make it a way of life.
What do I need to bring?
You will need 3, 4 OR 5 pound dumbbells, an exercise mat and water each day. You can purchase these at Walmart, Target or Academy. Program includes a free t-shirt that will need to be worn each day you attend camp.
What will we do each day at camp?
Each day we will be learning new exercises that will build on the previous days workout. Each day will include strength training, cardiovascular exercise, and flexibility training.
Will I learn anything about how to eat right?
Yes! Our program will include one hour each day of exercise followed by 30 minutes of snack time while we cover a new topic on nutrition. You will learn:
- How to eat for nutrition
- Going beyond Go, Slow and Whoa foods
- What is a carbohydrate, a protein, and a fat?
- How many calories you should eat
- How to eat throughout the day
- Can I snack?
- How to make good choices at school
- How to make good choices eating out
- The reasons we eat.
- And much, much more!
How often will we meet each week and what is the cost?
We are there Monday-Fridays. You can choose 3, 4 or 5 days/week. The following prices are the cost of the entire 2 week program:
- 3 days/week (12 hours): $110 + $15 for snacks and manual
- 4 days/week (16 hours): $135 + $20 for snacks and manual
- 5 days/week (20 hours): $160 + $25 for snacks and manual
A free t-shirt is included in the cost and is required to be worn when at camp. An extra t-shirt can be purchased for $15. Register by May 1st and save $25!

Where is the location?
Asbury United Methodist Church located at 5354 Space Center Blvd, Pasadena TX.
Are parents/guardians welcome to stay and watch?
Yes! We welcome any parent to observe their child participating. We would ask that parents and guardians do not talk to their child or the coach during the session so the coach will have the child's attention and focus.
What do I need to do to sign my child up?
Click on our Registration tab and fill out the on-line form. Registration must be filled out by a parent or guardian. Parent must arrive early enough on the first day of camp to sign the waiver form. Once we receive your registration you will receive an automatic email Welcome Letter which will further inform you of everything you will need to do before Day 1 of camp. The email will also provide options for payment. You will be able to mail a check in to our offices or pay on-line with your credit/debit card.
